What A2 speaking and B1 listening mean for Sproochentest preparation, with a simple way to practise both.

Why two different levels?

Official nationality information separates the language assessment into A2 oral expression and B1 oral understanding. That is normal: many learners can understand more than they can produce actively.

Your preparation should therefore have two tracks: speaking practice for everyday answers and listening practice for spoken Luxembourgish at a higher comprehension level.

A2 speaking in practical terms

  • Introduce yourself and your family or daily routine.
  • Answer simple follow-up questions from an examiner.
  • Describe a visual scene with people, place, activity, and feelings.
  • Speak in short but connected answers rather than isolated words.

B1 listening in practical terms

B1 listening is about understanding the main message and useful details in spoken texts. You do not need to understand every word, but you need enough control to answer questions reliably.
